This is a close-up of a fall webworm moth (Hyphantria cunea) taken from behind.  Although I did use the flash to achieve this lighting, I also used the lens itself to block the flash from hitting the moth directly (the lens rested against the tip of the moth’s wings).  It should be noted I allowed this moth to pupate inside the house once I discovered a fall webworm had made its way inside and built a cocoon.  It finally came out of its shell and greeted me this morning from the wall above the fireplace.  I’ve since moved it outside.
