Floodplain
Following the severe weather outbreak that brought multiple tornadoes and a plethora of damage to North Texas on April 9 and 10, visiting White Rock Lake two days later still found the floodplain completely submerged. With spring’s verdant growth, however, and the stillness of the morning, the abundance of water covering my usual stomping grounds proved less an inconvenience and more a stunning display of nature’s artwork.
